Inglis is not yet ready to release the full catalogue for next year's Easter Yearling Sale, but it has revealed a number of the lots who will be star attractions at the offering.

The first foal from legendary mare Winx, a filly by Pierro, will be the headline act but there are also a host of other yearlings who are either siblings to Group 1 stars or out of mares who made an impact at the highest level.

Among the lots to be offered in Sydney on April 7 and 8 are:

  • A brother to Sunlight, which also makes him a brother to the $3m sale-topper from the 2022 sale.
  • The second foal from Sunlight, a colt by Wootton Bassett.
  • The first foal from 14-time Group 1 winner Melody Belle, a filly by Written Tycoon.
  • A Snitzel half-brother to three-time Group 1-winning colt Militarize.
  • A three-quarter-brother to Golden Slipper winner Estijaab, herself a $1.7m Easter yearling.
  • A half-brother to Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Ozzmosis, by Wootton Bassett.
  • A filly by Anamoe sire's Street Boss who is a half-sister to Caulfield Guineas winner Golden Mile.
  • A brother to Group 1 winner Nimalee, who sold for $3.6m at this year's Chairman's Sale.
  • A half-brother to three-time Group 1 winner Duais.
  • A Zoustar half-sister to Golden Slipper winner Farnan.
  • A half-sister to Group 1 winner and dual The Everest placegetter Private Eye.
  • A brother to globe-trotting dual Group 1 winner Artorius, who is by Flying Artie.
  • A sister to four-time Group 1 winner Tofane, a daughter of Ocean Park.
  • Foals out of Group 1 winners including Booker, Pippie, Snitzerland, Stay With Me and Unforgotten.

Inglis expects the 2024 Easter Yearling Sale to be one of the most anticipated in its long history.

"The quality is just extraordinary," Inglis Bloodstock chief executive Sebastian Hutch Hutch said.

"It would be all too predictable for me to say that it's 'the best' Easter catalogue we have had for some time, but ultimately I think when people see the catalogue they are going to be really excited and the horses themselves are an incredible group.

"The variety through the catalogue is going to be a particularly appealing feature of it, with progeny of superstar international stallions like Frankel, Gun Runner, Siyouni, Lope De Vega and Night Of Thunder complementing what is an outstanding representation of the best local stallions.

"The offering from drafts like Arrowfield, Coolmore, Widden, Yarraman, Vinery, Segenhoe and other farms will be typically strong, and the catalogue is set to be supplemented by drafts from the likes of Gilgai Farm, Yulong, B2B Thoroughbreds, Mill Park, Elsdon Park and others, who were not represented in the sale in 2023.

"It's going to be an incredible spectacle and a wonderful showcase of our market to a worldwide audience."
