The Magic Millions 3YO Guineas carries $3 million in prizemoney, but it has the potential to lead to an even greater payday after being added as an All-Star Mile win-and-you're-in race.

The 1400-metre event has become the eighth race to offer the winner a guaranteed berth in the $4 million All-Star Mile (1600m) at Caulfield on March 16 should they wish.

The January 13 Magic Millions 3YO Guineas will become the first win-and-you're-in race conducted outside Victoria in the history of the All-Star Mile.

Magic Millions managing director Barry Bowditch said having the Guineas added to the All-Star Mile roster was exciting for the organisation.

"The Magic Millions story began with an innovative race concept that has evolved into Queensland's richest and biggest raceday," Bowditch said.

"With the feature Gold Coast Magic Millions 3YO Guineas increasing to $3 million for the first time this January, we are delighted to have the opportunity to connect the Queensland summer carnival with the innovative $4 million All-Star Mile over Victoria's autumn.

"We thank Racing Victoria and the Melbourne Racing Club for their foresight in making this partnership possible for an elite Magic Millions graduate to secure a start in the 2024 All-Star Mile at Caulfield.

"This opportunity is exciting for participants and fans and simply great for racing nationally."

A fortnight after the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas two 1600m races at the Karaka Million Raceday – the 3YO Classic and Aotearoa 4YO Classic – will become the first All-Star Mile win-and-you're-in run outside Australia.

Magic Time secured the first spot in the race when she won the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m), while the Group 1 C F Orr Stakes (1400m), Group 1 Futurity Stakes (1400m), Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) and Group 2 Blamey Stakes (1600m) are the other races offering a guaranteed start.
