Some of the expected top lots of Day 1 at the Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
The Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale resumes on Wednesday when Lots 211 to 450 will make their way through the sale ring.
Below is a look at a handful who could be among the day's leading performers.
LOT 289 – ZOUSTAR x THE ACTUARY
Widden Stud will produce the bay or brown colt by their star resident out of a Listed-winning Sebring mare who is a half-sister to Group 1 Flight Stakes winner Zougotcha, who is also by Zoustar. The Actuary's granddam, Crystal Wit, is a half-sister to Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily.
LOT 301 – WOOTTON BASSETT x TIARE
Wootton Bassett, who had his first Australian crop yearling sell for $500,000 on Tuesday, has been given every chance to succeed in what has been a late start to his Australian career and one of the Coolmore stallion's first crop is a half-brother to last year's The Everest winner Think About It, being out of the Flying Spur mare Tiare. The bay colt will be presented for sale by Grenville Stud.
LOT 349 – EXTREME CHOICE x WANTED LADY
Any Extreme Choice presented for sale is popular given his fertility issues and Milburn Creek's colt out of Wanted Lady has been immensely popular the inspections stage. Wanted Lady is a daughter of Wanted who is a half-sister to Missy Cummings, the dam of Group 1 Canterbury Stakes winner Mizzy.
LOT 350 – SNITZEL x WARRANTY
Two of the Day 2's top products could go through back-to-back with Wanted Lady's colt to be followed by Segenhoe's powerful Snitzel colt out of All Too Hard mare Warranty. Snitzel has several expected star lots on Day 2, including a colt who is a grandson of Surround Stakes winner Portillo (Lot 332), a filly out of Group 2 winner and Moir Stakes placegetter Wild Rain (Lot 362) and a filly who is a three-quarter-sister to SA Dery winner Zighy Bay (Lot 386).
LOT 442 – I AM INVINCIBLE x ARCADIA QUEEN
I Am Invincible is also certain to have multiple high-priced lots with his colt out of Arcadia Queen one of the banner lots of the entire sale. The Arrowfield Stud-prepared colt is the first foal from the daughter of Pierro, who won a Champions Stakes and The Might And Power at Group 1 level and is the equal highest-rated broodmare with a lot in this year's Gold Coast sale.
The Gold Coast Yearling Sale will resume from 11am Queensland time on Wednesday.
