Some of the expected top lots of Day 4 at the Gold Coast Yearling Sale
The Gold Coast Yearling Sale continues on Friday, when Lots 691 to 930 will be offered through the Magic Millions sale ring.
Below is a look at a handful of yearlings who are expected to be among the day's leading performers.
LOT 693 – ZOUSTAR x FUDDLE DEE DUDDLE (colt)
The Red Ransom mare who is closely related to Bella Nipotina and is the dam of Maribyrnong Plate winner Brereton had one of the stars of last year's sale, a filly by Zoustar who sold for $1.45m. Longwood Thoroughbreds will this year present for sale a colt by the same sire, who goes through as the third lot of the day.
LOT 741 – I AM INVINCIBLE x HAUT BRION HER (colt)
I Am Invincible is expected to flex his sizeable muscle on Friday and one of his headline lots is a colt out of Zoustar mare Haut Brion Her. She raced with distinction in the Three Bridges colours and that Victorian farm will offer her first foal. Others by 'Vinnie' expected to do well on Day 4 is the filly out of Madam Rouge to be offered by Widden as Lot 900 and a filly out of Pins mare Mark Two, who is part of the Yarraman draft.
LOT 768 – FARNAN x I AM EXCITED (colt)
Golden Slipper winner Farnan has already had a good sale but one of the best-performed mares he served in his first season was Snitzel's Galaxy winner I Am Excited, who produced a bay colt that will be offered by Bell River Thoroughbreds.
LOT 785 – WRITTEN TYCOON x IN HER TIME (colt)
Time Thief mare In Her Time, a Black Caviar Lightning and The Galaxy winner at Group 1 level, was one of the equal highest-rated mares in this year's catalogue with a peak Timeform rating of 121 and her second foal is the result of a visit to former Australian Champion Sire, Written Tycoon, who now stands at Yulong, which is the farm that will offer the colt.
LOT 795 – JUSTIFY x INVINCIBLE STAR (colt)
Justify has made a blazing start to his Australian career and one of the speediest mares he has visited in his Southern Hemisphere breeding career is Invincible Star, a daughter of I Am Invincible who was a multiple Group 3 winner and finished runner-up in Merchant Navy's Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes. This colt will be offered by Coolmore, who stand the son of Scat Daddy.
Bidding will recommence at the Gold Coast sales complex from 10am Queensland time on Friday.
