Sydney's big wet has forced the Easter Yearling Sale back two hours with Inglis on Saturday announcing a rescheduled start time.

The first session of one of the biggest sales of the year will now commence at 12pm Sunday.

The deferral is a result of the heavy rain that started on Thursday and did not let up until the early hours of Saturday morning, which impacted the inspections stage.

"Due to the significant rain event of the past 48 hours, Day 1 of the 2024 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale will now start at 12pm AEST tomorrow, Sunday April 7," Inglis said in a statement.

"This will allow buyers extra time to inspect horses today and tomorrow ahead of the start of the sale.

"Lots 1-250 will still be offered on Sunday.

"Day 2 of the Easter Sale on Monday will still begin at the scheduled time of 10am."

The second day features the filly by Winx out of Pierro, who will go through as Lot 391 early in the afternoon.
