Juddmonte Farms stallion Oasis Dream (Green Desert) sired his 121st stakes winner on Sunday as his daughter Cloud Surfing (4 f ex Hasten by Montjeu) added the Schloss Roland-Stutenpreis (Listed, 1400m) at Düsseldorf to her record.

The filly was having her second start at stakes level, having finished fifth in the Prix Maurice Zilber (Listed, 1400m) on May 11 and she showed her rivals a clean pair of heels, scooting away to beat Light Blush (Kodiac) by four and a half lengths, while Belle Anglaise (Cable Bay) was another length away in third.

The filly is one of two winners and the first stakes winner out of the unplaced Montjeu (Sadler’s Wells) mare Hasten, who is herself a sister to 2009 Criterium International (Gr 1, 1400m) winner Jan Vermeer and Grade 1 winner Together (Galileo).

The filly’s third dam Evening Air (J. O. Tobin) produced Group 3 winner Midnight Air (Green Desert), who in turn is the dam of Grade 2 winner Midnight Line (Kris S) - the dam of Group 2 winner Communique (Casamento).

Further back this is also the family of Group 1 winner Imperial Beauty (Imperial Ballet).

Barton Stud will offer the Kingman (Invincible Spirit) half-brother to Cloud Surfing at Book 2 of the upcoming Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, which gets under in Newmarket on October 12. The colt is catalogued as Lot 842.

Oasis Dream’s progeny is headed by 17 Group 1 winners, including Power who stands at Oaklands Stud in Queensland.
