Lone Eagle (Galileo), runner up in the last year's Group 1 Irish Derby (1m4f), was bought back outright by Ballylinch Stud in an online sale conducted by Goffs which ended on Tuesday. 

Bought for 500,000gns by Aquis Farm at Book 1 of the 2019 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, Lone Eagle raced in a partnership with Aquis Farm and Ballylinch Stud and was trained by Freddie Martin Meade. 

He has raced 11 times to date, winning four of those starts and placing in a further three. A winner of the Group 3 Zetland Stakes (1m2f) at Newmarket as a juvenile, Lone Eagle won the Listed Cocked Hat stakes (1m3f) at Goodwood last May before his Irish Derby placing. He has raced three times at four this year, with his best result coming when third in the Listed Tapster Stakes (1m4f) at Goodwood.
