Group 1 winner moves to Knockmullen House Stud
Group 1 winner Mekhtaal (Sea The Stars) will relocate to Knockmullen House Stud in County Wexford.
A €300,000 Arqana Deauville August Yearling Sale purchase by Mandore International Agency in 2014, Mekhtaal was trained by Jean-Claude Rouget for Al Shaqab Racing. His wins included the 2017 Group 1 Prix d'Ispahan at Chantilly before he was transferred to the US stable of Graham Motion where he was Grade 1 placed.
He was retired to Al Shaqab's Haras de Bouquetot in Normandy in 2019 before relocating to Haras du Grand Courgeon where he stood for a fee of €2,300 last year.
His 2023 fee will be announced at a later date.
