Karl Burke-trained colt provides his Darley shuttle sire Blue Point with his second winner
The impressive debut victory of Valour And Swagger (2 c ex Music Shart by Exchange Rate) on Monday provided his sire, Blue Point (Shamardal), with his second winner.
Under Neil Callan, the Karl Burke-trained Valour And Swagger pulled clear in the closing stages of the EBF Novice Stakes, over five furlongs at Windsor, to score a six and a half length victory over Dapperling (Dandy Man).
Bred by Framont, Valour And Swagger was bought for £80,000 by Oliver St Lawrence Bloodstock at last year's Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale having sold for 45,000gns at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale the year prior.
He is the third winner out of the Group placed Exchange Rate (Danzig) mare Music Chart.
Darley Australia announced earlier this week at Blue Point would return to Australia this spring with his fee remaining at $44,000 (inc GST) for the fourth consecutive year. He covered 114 mares last year.
The son of Shamardal's (Giant's Causeway) advertised fee at Darley's Kildangan Stud in Ireland was €35,000 this year.
