Showemhowitsdone (3 f ex Jaffari by Iffraaj) took out Saturday's Gore Guineas (Listed, 1335m) at Gore to provide former Haunui shuttler Showcasing (Oasis Dream) with his 50th stakes winner.

Trained by Shane Kennedy and Anna Furlong, Showemhowitsdone was winning for the first time since breaking her maiden in September and beat The Gift (Power) by a nose with two and a half lengths back to Chokito (Vespa) in third.

"We had put her out for a spell after she ran third at Riccarton on the middle day of Cup Week," said Kennedy.

"She did really well and we used her trial at Ashburton as a guide to where we would go with her.

"Terry rode her and was delighted with how she felt so we decided to have a crack at this one first up.

"She's about 400kgs dripping wet, so there's not much of her, but she tries her heart out and is a real dream to do anything with.

"I thought she could go a really good race and she has done just that."

Showmehowitsdoen it out of placed mare Jaffari (Iffraaj) while her third dam is Cappie (Kaapstad) who produced six winners including Group 1 winner Captivate (Stravinsky) while this is also the family of Group 1 winner Culminate (Elnadim) and Eileen Dubh (Storm Creek).

Showcasing's 2021 fee at Whitsbury Manor Stud in England is set at £45,000.

The winner of this Listed 3yo only event over 1335m on Slow8 footing was the fresh up filly Showemhowitsdone, a visitor from Riccarton that surged home closer in from second last on settling. She had won a trial nine days earlier so was ready and when she surged near the home turn she improved to fifth then led one-off at the 100m and narrowly scored by a head in 1:22.10. The winners and where they came from on the home turn were led (one-off the inside and two lengths clear), second (six-off the inside and half a length from the leader), third (one-off the inside and length and a half from the leader), third (three-off the inside and half a length from the leader), led (three-off the inside and length and a half from the leader), second (one-off the inside and a length from the leader), second (six-off the inside and a length from the leader), fifth (one-off the inside and three lengths from the leader), sixth (six-off the inside and three lengths from the leader) and third (five-off the inside and length and a half from the leader). Showemhowitsdone was winning today her second race in eleven outings and scoring her first at Blacktype having had five goes earlier for one second at Listed level when a juvenile. Today she relished the strong pace (it was the fastest time of the day at this trip by almost three lengths) and the rain-affected track posed no issues either. The Gift was going for her fourth win in a row but came up a smidgen short but ran a brave race after racing sixth and then wide with cover before looming up turning for home. She really dug deep late and went down narrowly for apprentice rider Kozzi Asano. Third home was another filly Chokito that raced on the pace and led at the 600m and when headed at the 150m was fighting well but the got hampered at the 50m. Fourth home and just missing third was yet another filly in Ocean Point, the stablemate of the runner up, that raced fourth the inner then improved second near the home turn. She was fourth at the 150m and hampered at the 50m too. Fifth home was Tavilight that raced race seventh surrounded and fought on okay to be beaten just over three lengths. Sixth home and beaten almost five lengths was the maiden Carisbrooke that raced eighth and then improved fourth turning for home before weakening. Sooo Dusty raced fifth then sixth to the home turn then weakened out to be beaten over five lengths then there was a gap to the next runner home of over nine lengths and up to twenty-five and a half lengths to the last runner home. This race was run solidly for the Slow conditions and fillies dominated the finish filling the first four spots home comfortably. The winner when surging through veered outwards and caused some strife towards the third and fourth finishers the finals 50m but the margin they were beaten was deemed too far to be relevant.
