Never got a chance to compete at Motukarara last time out. Prior run was very good at Oamaru and gets a chance to jump and run here and try and take this race by the scruff of the neck. Good enough to run them off their feet too.

Race 2
5 Wish Me Luck

Gets the nod here with race fitness onside as opposed to main rival #6 who is coming in fresh. Should be able to roll forward here, take up a strong position and from there be a little too sharp for them. Not past the post by any stretch, but right in contention.

Race 3
9 Allets

Lots to like about the debut effort behind a pretty smart filly in Music Mistress. Gets a bit of race experience under the belt too which few in this can lay claim too. Might need some luck from the inside of the second row but has the ability to overcome it and win this.

Race 4
10 Kilauea

Not a lot of luck from well back in the field last time out and will have to overcome another tricky draw here. Might be driven a little more positively here though and get into the race and in a field of horses who can't lay claim to a lot of genuine form, is good enough to win.

Race 5
2 Style Council

All the form on the board, but just not winning form. Working from a good draw here will be a major asset and shouldn't be too far off them at the most important stage of the race. Tends to round races off strong so if close enough can definitely win this at a nice each way quote.

Race 6
6 Aardie B Miki

Given a bit of time to bounce back from a disappointing run here in a quality field last time out. Came a long way in a short time and that brief let up should be only a good thing. Tricky draw to use, but good enough to overcome it and get the job done today.

Race 7
11 Majestic Whisper

Has a large bag of tricks, but some real high speed to use when saved up for the one crack at them. On her best day would blow this field out of the water and if she turns up in the right mindset here tonight then that's exactly what should happen here.

Race 8
9 Betterwithbling

Drops back from some pretty handy recent races for this assignment today. Last run was a fifth in Country Cups class behind Jimmy Arma. So decent drop back. Need a bit of luck from the draw but with a good tempo up front and a clean shot at them could outstay them late.
