3 Lotus Franco

Clearly has a motor, but there's a few tricks up the sleeve too which have all been evident on race day so far. Small field here may really suit and if able to trot forward early and find a forward position has more upside than most in this and can get the job done.

3 Kalatra

Has been trialling up a storm ahead of today's resumption including a slashing run at Ashburton last week which will have all the boxes ticked for a big showing here today. Not a deep field and gets a good draw with the right man in the bike to make something happen.

Race 3
6 Wudabubbit

Overcame an early mistake to run a huge second at Oamaru a couple of weeks ago. No right to get that close. Needs to do things right but is clearly very talented when she does and if she can find the right momentum here then she'll take all sorts of stopping.

Race 4
13 Ari On Safari

Very good on debut on Oamaru when only going down a short margin. Had trialled up very well on the all weather surfaces prior to that run so no issues with switch to Timaru here and if able to get a little luck early and lob in a handy spot, will be right in the fight.

Race 5
8 Sinai Sermon

Couple of tidy trial runs ahead of today's resumption from a bit of a spell. Has always looked a pretty talented horse and chooses the right race in which to resume. Should be able to find a near enough spot from which to launch an attack here and get the job done.

Race 6
2 Illegal Alien

Jump and run sort of type who gets the right kind of set up to try and look for an all the way win here. Likely to be first out and first to the markers and if able to control things from there could be a little too good for most of these in a dash up the lane.

Race 7
8 Knockshanbally

Gets a little relief on some of the more recent assignments here and while draw wide is a good enough stayer to make own luck and try and run them into the dirt over the concluding stages. The fifth behind Tide And Time really stands out when dropping back to a race like this.
