Race 1
5 Major Doosie

Really well bred debutant who has been striding out impressively in workouts and trials. Looks pretty sensible too so should handle the occasion and with good manners can fight out the finish in the small race.
Selections: 5-1-3-4

Race 2
9 Neverseentherain

Never got a chance to get close on debut with a good speed set up in front but the final few hundred metres of the race suggested there's a win just around the corner. Nice opportunity here with scratchings making barrier draw not so bad. A good drag into it and it's game on.
Selections: 9-4-5-2-1

Race 3
7 Tyron Eros

Never left second gear when beating some well-established, older trotters, here last week. Will improve off that run too and looks in for a fun time of it over the coming months. Couple of handy ones here so will have to be good but fitness gives him the edge.
Selections: 7-8-5-6-2

Race 4
2 Wish Me Luck

A bit too good for the smart mare Amore Infida when last produced here and stays in the same grade with the benefit of a penalty free win. Good draw, top driver and confidence levels sky high all point toward another big performance here tonight.
Selections: 2-7-4-1-11

Race 5
6 What The Belle

Handy run first up from a bit of a spell and will have taken a lot of benefit from that performance. Still has a few wee hitches in the gait, but there's a motor there and with a complete performance tonight should be able to get another win on the board.
Selections: 6-8-7-9-4

Race 6
3 Aardie B Miki

Sure to be improved off the handy fresh up run here a couple of weeks ago. Had to come off the tricky draw then too whereas tonight's race maps a whole lot better. Not past the post by any stretch, but with a good run on the markers should be a little too slick.
Selections: 3-5-4-1-2

Race 7
3 Tide And Time

Seems to be racing a lot more genuine these days and relaxing a whole lot better too. Loves to run still but not quite as taxing on himself as he once was. Maps beautifully for him here to ping out and lead and look to run them off their feet. Hard to catch with own terms.
Selections: 3-7-1-4-8

Race 8
4 Tu Tangata

Looks a horse who will eventually work to the top of the grades, but does throw in the odd funny run from time to time. Effort two starts back behind some very good ones was excellent and a repeat of that here will, without doubt spell success. Just needs to reproduce.
Selections: 4-7-8-6-3

Race 9
13 Sargent Best

Might pay to just put a line through the last run, not much went right there. Seems best when driven for absolute luck and gets one crack at them and that might be the approach here if things pang out well. Can track the speed and get over the top of them all late.
Selections: 13-8-9-5-3

Race 10
5 Barnstormer

Been a lot to like about him lately and the way he has been racing. Seems a lot more interested in hunting the line than he had been. Good gate speed to use too which will be a huge benefit here tonight. Might find the markers first and look to take cover from there. Can win with it too.
Selections: 5-2-6-8-9

Best: 9 Neverseentherain (Race 3)
Next: 2 Wish Me Luck (Race 4)
Value: 5 Barnstormer (Race 10)
