International success continues for Australia’s champion sire elect Exceed And Excel with his three-year-old son Morawij recording his second stakes victory on Saturday in the UK.

The Roger Varian-trained colt landed the Listed Scurry Stakes for his third career win and second at black type level, having won the Listed Dragon Stakes over the same course and distance as a juvenile.

Bred by Dunchurch Lodge Stud, Morawij is out of the Group-placed mare Sister Moonshine.

Exceed And Excel is maintaining a $500,000 lead over Fastnet Rock in their race to be Australia’s champion sire for the 2012-13 season by prizemoney.

His outstanding season has featured G1-winning juvenile fillies Guelph and Overreach and a further 15 stakes winners.
