Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Thursday’s meeting at Hawkesbury.

Valentino Rossa (Race 2) has been a firmer at longer odds, shortening three points to a fixed odds quote of $5 with TopBetta. He caught the eye running on when resuming at Nowra and will be fitter for the step up in trip.

King Darci (Race 4) is in to second favouritism at $3.20 having firmed more than a point in early betting. He is down in grade from his last run in the city and at his previous start was a dominant winner of a Goulburn maiden.

Lattimer (Race 5) is challenging for favouritism at $3.70 having halved his price from an early each way quote. He placed at his first two starts in the country and ran on for fourth at Gosford last time so looks suited by the extra 200m.

Rogue Missile (Race 6) has been a steady firmer to $4.60 after opening at double figure odds. The five year old has been placed at all four career runs including both runs this time in at Kembla Grange so should be peaking third up.
