Everwin managed a winning debut on Monday at Lyon-Parilly in convincing style. He made significant progress down the home straight and showed plenty of speed.

The eleven runners broke fairly evenly from the starting gates however the Ludovic Gadbin trained winner not the fastest away from a low draw. Racing midfield in the early stages he appeared keen travelling the fair side but eventually settled three back, two off the inside.

Pace was set by UK raider, Mustango (finished third) looked strong. Turning for home, winning jockey, Maxime Guyon managed to move Everwin to the inside running rail to be in fifth place. Adopting a good position, he began to challenge. With 500m left to travel, the eventual winner had four lengths to reach the lead, and he continued to travel strongly. The two-year-old son of Seabhac was catching the eye in the home straight and was making significant headway finding a gap at the perfect time. At this point there was 300m left and Maxime Guyon asked the colt for more. He accelerated convincingly in promising style to post an easy three and a half-length debut success.

Stallion, Seabhac was a Group Three winner as a two-year-old in America and now stands at Haras de Saint Arnoult in France. It will be interesting to see where Everwin heads next and discover if he can climb through the grades and reach Black Type company.
