Sa Sa Ladies' Purse Day 2023, presented by The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Sa Sa International Holdings Limited, will be staged on Sunday, 5 November at Sha Tin Racecourse.

A press conference was held today (Tuesday, 10 October) at Sa Sa Hong Kong's flagship store in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong to announce the event details, where this year's ambassador Lin Min Chen attended and was joined by The Hong Kong Jockey Club's Executive Director, Membership, Brand, Marketing and Experience Mr Anthony Ingham and Head of Racing Marketing Ms Hanane Sabri, Sa Sa International Holdings Limited's Chairman and CEO Dr Simon Kwok, Vice-Chairman Dr Eleanor Kwok and Executive Director Ms Melody Kwok, to kick off the 19th Sa Sa Ladies' Purse Day at Sha Tin Racecourse next month.

Inviting beautiful ladies from the city to serve as the annual ambassador is a tradition of Sa Sa Ladies' Purse Day. This year, Lin Min Chen has been appointed as the ambassador for the event. Lin dressed elegantly with an exquisite headpiece designed by the renowned London millinery Odette & Elliott at today's press conference and shared her excitement about shooting the promotional video at Sha Tin Racecourse ahead of the event.

Sa Sa Ladies' Purse Day is one of the most anticipated and dazzling annual racing events in the city. The highlight of the day is the HK$4.2 million G3 Sa Sa Ladies' Purse Handicap (1800m).  Other exciting races on the day are named after international cosmetic brands, including the L'Oreal Paris Handicap, Grace One Handicap, Kate Tokyo Handicap, Canmake Tokyo Handicap, Eleanor Handicap, La Colline Journey with Skin Handicap, Suisse Programme Handicap, La Estephe Handicap, and Neogence Handicap.

On the day, fans entering Sha Tin Racecourse will receive a souvenir brooch, while stocks last.  A range of spectacular on-course activities will be arranged including the Best Dressed Award, special offers at the Sa Sa Beauty Bazaar, thematic delicacies and live singing performance.

In anticipation of Sa Sa Ladies' Purse Day, themed Instagrammable spots "Lady Pony" will be set up with dazzling installations and giant plush horses starting from today. "Lady Pony" will travel to Sa Sa's Causeway Bay flagship store and The Hong Kong Jockey Club's off-course betting branches at Central and Kwun Tong Plaza, as well as Sha Tin Racecourse. Customers purchasing a designated amount at Sa Sa's Causeway Bay flagship store will also have the chance to win a prize.
