Race 1

#8 HAPPY HORSE shall be suited by the low barrier draw and 5lbs claim which together can bring about a better result. He's had excuses at all runs this campaign and continues to look sharp during his morning gallops.
He'll be up on speed from the get go, whilst saving extra ground, and right there ready to attack when they swing. With the unusual addition of pacifier's being added to encourage extra focus.

#7 HAPPILY FRIENDS has returned to racing in excellent form this preparation and is a terrific chance of getting it done. His previous win came first up last season of a rating of thirty eight and he's gone close at two of his three runs back.
A favourable draw in six is exactly what's required so it's now over to James McDonald to do the rest, with the drop back to 1000m the key.

#3 STRIVE FOR GLORY finds himself back in class 5 which is where he's accumulated his wins.Zac Purton also won on him in this grade early last season and now reacquaints himself to the ride.

He possesses the speed to cross this field, should he do everything right when they jump, with recent efforts and fitness now at the required level.

#2 MULTIMORE has been banging on the door of victory at all four runs this campaign and cannot be overlooked. With Zac Purton now moving elsewhere you should receive each way odds because of the widish draw.
He's twice a winner over the Happy Valley 1000m and has also won in higher grade, so with a touch of luck for familiar jockey Dylan Mo he's a definite option.

#9 FIGHTING STAR is the lowest rated galloper in the opening event but ran a better race last start. He bled in June last year and has since struggled with confidence/consistency to fully let down.

However, he and GOODMANSHIP, who's also had ongoing injuries, both performed well in a Conghua trial in early November which gives them both a chance.

Race 5

#11 FLAMING EAGLE won his only Hong Kong race over this course and trip last season and was super competitive behind DENFIELD first up.That race should turn out to be a solid reference going forward and from a similar draw he'll be in the hunt. It's also worth acknowledging jockey Karis Teetan stays aboard, after an average run last start, which suggests there were some relevant forgivable excuses.

#5 TALENT SUPREMO took time acclimatising to the rigours of Hong Kong lifestyle but is now appearing settled. The change of stable during the off season break from Richard Gibson to Cody Mo should also be acknowledged.

He arrived from England on a rating of 67 and is currently racing, following a last start win, off a rating of 51.James McDonald now rides from the inside draw with, Zac Purton moving elsewhere, so he get a nice run.

#3 RUBYLOT has been the defeated favourite at two of three outings but far from disgraced regarding effort.Like a typical young thoroughbred he's still learning how to run fast on four legs whilst continuing to remain focused.

He has the ability to win, and is one of a handful of chances, but the middle draw creates a few concerns.Conversely, he trialled nicely here at Happy Valley in September.

#10 TIMESTORM remains a Hong Kong maiden but has completed a number of very encouraging runs.He pulled up with mucus and a lameness issue following his last start but has since recovered well at Conghua.

David Hall has tonight stripped him of all head gear following two encouraging trials so I'd be keeping him safe.#1 KOKUSHI MUSOU is ready to return to the winners list following four solid runs this current campaign.

The wide gate got the better of him two back and it was a horror watch if you were cheering him home.Drawing the inside alley again tonight should make a difference, with the only man to have won on him in the past, Alexis Badel, on board.
