Proposed drinking water regulations seminar on Wednesday

The New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders' Association is inviting industry members to join Federated Farmers for an exclusive presentation on the proposed human drinking water regulations.

Federated Farmers Regional Policy Group Manager Dr Paul Le Miere will present the facts linked to legislation for those providing consumable water to others.

Proposed changes to the National Environmental Standard for Sources of Human Drinking Water will affect most land owners and users, including farmers, growers, equine and lifestyle properties, and is part of the three waters reform.

The presentation will be held at The Boatshed, Karapiro, 21 Amber Lane at 12.20pm on Wednesday 10 August.

State Highway 1 is closed between Karapiro Road and Piarere intersection due to tree felling, therefore the State Highway is open to the Boatshed, if travelling from Matamata the detour is via Taotaoroa Road and then turn left at the Mobile Petrol Station towards Gordon Road, from Cambridge you can travel direct on the SH1, just allow extra time.

Light refreshments will be provided. All welcome.
