Callow was suspended by Mauritius Jockey Club stewards for three months for failing to give one of his mounts every chance to win at Champ de Mars last Saturday.
Callow was also fined 100,000 rupees ($A4000) for the ride on Fyrkat, who finished second in the eighth race.
Callow was charges for not taking ‘all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure that, throughout the race, his horse is given full opportunity to win’.
The 41-year-old has been a regular visitor to Mauritius and left for his latest stint in March.
