The Dubai season has been Godolphin dominated to date and the blue trend looks set to continue at the Meydan tonight.

Trainer Charlie Appleby has a strangehold on the turf races at the Meydan meeting tonight with odds-on favourites stifling the betting in three of the four events highlighted by Blue Point  in the Meydan Sprint.

With thin opposition these short quotes seem reasonable assessments but it's hard to get excited about from a punting perspective up until the last race on the card where things open up a bit.

The last is a 2410m handicap where again Appleby holds a strong hand - but this time there is opposition in what shapes as a terrific betting heat.

Early favourite Mountain Hunter will be fitter for his return run last time but he did look to have his chance there and is no certainty to improve for the step up in trip.

Through a similar race two weeks back Zaman should also take plenty of benefit from his first run for the season and he worked hard in the run there. He is lightly raced and his lone try at this trip was very promising - placed at listed level in France.

A softer run froma low draw here gives him a great chance to improve and he is well fancied at early quotes around 5-1.

William Buick opts for stablemate Walton Street who is a good talent and has a chance but he does have to concede race fitness to the vast majority of these - as does Very Talented.

Suggested Bet: Back Zaman in Race Seven at the Meydan.
