RACE 1

BIZAR WINS – Back to his favorite distance with a few runs in the legs already this year. Nunes stick with this horse suggesting a win isn't far off, goes close here.

FAST AND FEARLESS – Drawn a sticky gate this weekend. Last run has plenty of merit after getting no luck, can run well her with a little more luck.

TAX FREE – Weighted well here this weekend. Draws a great gate and out of a stable who has started very well this season, respect.

RED MANED – Carries 59 this weekend after stable has opted for senior rider. If he can overcome the gate, his best form sees him winning this with ease. Jump is crucial.

RACE 2

FREE AND HAPPY – Solid second in open maiden company last start. Looks a horse who can be winning a race soon and out to a mile looks to be where he will race at his best.

FORTUNE WHEEL – Comes out of the same race at Free And Happy and comes into this third up so fitness shouldn't be a problem.

JUNGLE CRUISE – Gets in well at the weights for this race. Trackwork has been solid and looks like a horse who is screaming for more ground, top three hope.

STORM DEITY – Caught the eye last start, looks the next logical pick if it can hold that form from last start. Respect.

RACE 3

PACIFIC CHARM – Gets a great draw in barrier four for CC Wong and one of our leading stables. He was a nice winner back in October and followed it up with a second placing in November. Trials have been strong for this return.

LAST SAMURAI – Raced much more attractively last start when settling in the early stages and was able to have some in reserve at the finish. Not the most ideal draw but he will come across and dictate proceedings again. Has the ability.

PER INCROWN – Jumped and led to score last start in a lower class. This course and distance are his career best stat with (18:2-4-3) to his name. Draws well and can run well up in grade.

REVOLUTION – Last few starts have been disappointing and not his usual self. He is a Polytrack specialist, and you must keep him safe to bounce back. Maybe at a price due to his slump in form.

RACE 4

GEMILANG – Debutant stepping out for first run coming off nice trial performance where he won in okay time, can impress here.

STAR GLORY – Comes into this race experience under his belt. First start was solid but has won a trial since and looks to have gone to another level.

HEALTHY BABY – Struggled to break maiden tag over the course of 2022. Trials over the new year's break leading up to return have looked promising, keep safe.

SACRED ORDER – Last run didn't go to plan but the start before on the poly was eye catching, a must include for the multiples.

RACE 5

CHARGER – Has been itching to get back to class 5 and this weekend should be a big chance to run well. His record at the grade speaks for itself.

INFINITE WISDOM – First up run was solid only going down by less than a length. Tougher opposition this weekend but the last run cannot go unnoticed.

ALEXANDER – Recent trial winner returning for first run this year. Consistently runs well without winning so could run a place here again.

BEYOND SACRED – Copped a nasty check but still made good ground late last start. Worth entertaining for exotic plays.

RACE 6

VITTORIA PERFETTA – Was an easy winner last start under Duric in the saddle. He gets the services of Mamat and his 4kg claim will see him carry 55.5kgs. Small field and looks primed to go back-to-back.

PENNYWISE – Hasn't been seen raceday since mid-January where he finished midfield to boom galloper Street Of Dreams over a shorter trip. Has won at the mile before and trialed in nice style under C. Habib in lead up for this.

REAL EFECTO – Dropped back to class four last start where he finished third to Saturno Spring. Gets back to a course and distance where he has two wins and a minor placing from three attempts. Very attractive stats.

MERYL – She was huge first up for a long-time last start catching the eye for a minor placing. She can either go two ways like mares can second up but I'm tipping she will improve off it. One for the multiples.

RACE 7

SUN ELIZABETH – Solid last start winner who races over her pet distance once again. Looks one of the main hopes again.

ATLANTEAN – First run on turf for the year. Draws well and off its current rating should be among the placegetters.

MY BOSS – Nice light weight for this weekend. Despite the wide draw, he has been racing more consistent than most of these. Top three chance.

FIRST CHIEF – Has to lug a solid weight but gets out to 1200m which is crucial for him to perform at his best, respect.

RACE 8

KNIPPENBERG – Won his Restricted Maiden just outside of standard time and drew away from that field. Draws well for Stewart and will take natural improvement second up. Looks handy from the barrier.

HOLE IN ONE – Was runner up to stablemate Bestseller last start and trainer indicated he is still improving, and the finished product is yet to come. Has shown ability winning last year and could be the surprise runner in the field.

TALING PLING – Has had a name change since winning when named Mykyta in a Restricted Maiden. Came from well back and clocked very fast final sectionals. He looks to be a nice three-year-old.

BESTSELLER – Scored a nice win in this level when carrying no weight under stable apprentice Rozlan. He finds a Novice again being only a one-time-winner and will probably press forward again from the wide draw.

RACE 9

MELODY FAIR – Headlines the weights this weekend and gets the services of CC Wong from a mid-draw. He rises in distance this time and has placed in the past at his only try at the trip. Looks the one.

IMA – Was back to his old barrier antics when rearing at the start and was game over from there. Ran well considering the head start he gave the field and was beaten 3.4 lengths. If he jumps, he is a big threat.

MARIANA TRENCH – On the quick backup where he didn't meet a surface that played to his racing style and stable obviously confident that he can handle the back up and rise in trip. Ever improving galloper.

TONY'S LOVE – Went around with no weight last start and finished in a minor placing. He gets a senior rider this weekend and draws well in two. Two of his four wins have come at this trip.

RACE 10

KHAO MANEE – Consistent as the day is long this horse. Looks to get enough pace here to be making ground late, finds a great race.

ENGINE START – Been very unlucky his last couple of starts. Will need a great ride from Manoel Nunes to win from the gate but has the ability to beat this field. Rider has already won on before also.

RUSSIAN TWIST – Looked the winner at the turn last start but didn't find as expected. Should find himself in a similar spot behind the leaders and be a threat late, place hope.

SACRED SUITE – Lightweight a big plus here with the claim of the stable apprentice. First up run for the year he scored his first top three placing, looks to have turned a corner.

RACE 11

AFTERMATH – In red hot form at his most recent starts. Scored an overdue win last start under Nunes. Stable apprentice jumps on this week and a 2kg claim from barrier one looks a nice formula.

VGOR – Very honest run when supported in betting last start to go under by a neck. He lost no admirers that day and should be there in the finish again. Watch for any late money.

GREAT COMMAND – Lightly raced here in Singapore but has shown ability. Trialed in nice time clocking 59.65 under Habib which has him ready to go this week. This is tougher but can run well.

OUR PINNACLE – Didn't have a lot go right last start with apprentice rider on board. They have gone with the 4kg again this week and will need some luck from the wide draw. His C/D stats are strong.

RACE 12

LIM'S CRAFT – Gets back to the turf after a surprising run on an inferior surface and distance last start. Short Course and distance stat is impressive with three wins and two placings from eleven starts. Will be flying home.

WINNING STRIDE – Nice run first up last start finishing three lengths behind Pacific Bao Bei. Has had a trial since then and was well held to the line under Stewart who partners him this weekend.

KNIGHT'S GAMBIT – Champion rider Nunes jumps aboard this one-time winner who has been okay since winning in this grade back in September last year. Should show early speed from a good draw in barrier two. Watch any moves in betting.

SAINT TROPEZ – Didn't really catch the eye last start for his Singapore debut. Should strip fitter second up and will be looking for big improvement second up for the former Aussie trained gelding.
