RACE 1

MASTER PLAYER – Unlikely winner last start where he drew away to win quite comfortably.

ZYGARDE – Narrowly defeated last two starts by short margins. Track and distance winner already, big danger.

MALIBU BEACH – On speed chance who was narrowly defeated here by a length last start. Always a hope at class 5, a must include.

FIREWORKS – 1400m specialist. Don't leave out of trio's and quartets whenever he strikes a race over this trip, can win this.

RACE 2

HEALTHY BABY – Began awkward and raced wide so last start it seems there were obvious excuses. Strikes an easier field this weekend and should be very hard to beat with any luck.

OUR FINAL OFFER – First up off a long break, trialled okay Tuesday. Plenty of unknowns but this isn't a deep race.

AHONE – Should improve with race day experience now. Stable and connections going well with their new additions, deserves respect.

JAZZ BAND – Recent trial winner who strikes the easiest race he has contested so far to date. Would still need to improve on his performances last campaign to figure here.

RACE 3

LIM'S KNIGHT – Sucked into a quick tempo last start and was run off his feet late in the race. Hopefully this event is run at a much more suitable tempo, and we see him fighting it out at the finish.

BIZAR WINS – Finally broke through for a win this year with Nunes in the saddle. Looking to win again over his favourite distance of 1100m with a new rider on board due to Nunes being suspended.

BEN WADE – Consistently there abouts at the moment, loves 1100m, should go close here again.

RAISE YOUR GLASS – First up for the year. Trialled well leading up to this start but has had 4 starts for no victories yet and meets proven horses this weekend.

RACE 4

STREET CRY SUCCESS – Holds a great career record over the distance with three of his four wins coming at this trip. Done plenty of racing with this being his sixth start for the year dropping nine points in doing so.

REAL SUCCESS – Ran on from behind last start clocking a fast final 400m behind Knight's Gambit to go down by 1.5 lengths. This looks a bit easier on paper and has the credentials.

STAR LEGEND – Has done nothing wrong in his first two starts including his maiden win. Has since trialed in nice fashion and stopping the clock in good time. Always a tougher test taking on experienced gallopers.

TALING PLING – Lightly raced Argentinian bred who was ultra-impressive winning his maiden two starts ago. Ran really well the last time he ran on turf and came from well back. Can be in the finish.

RACE 5

ENGINE START – Unlucky last time to the race getting held up and copping interference late in the race. At class 5 grade, this horse must always be considered a winning hope. He is better than this class.

CLERGYMAN – Last start winner who got the job done first up. Looks to have turned the corner this preparation, a similar run to last start would see him in the finish.

EXCEED NATURAL – First up winner also looking to continue a successful 2023 so far. Already a winner at 1600m so far this campaign which should be plus in his favour, main chance.

FORT MUSTANG – Likely leader if he jumps. If he finds the top uncontested, he could be in front for a long way, respect.

RACE 6

AWESOME CONQUEROR – Impressive last start to lead and win. Provided he jumps he's in with a hope here again.

SUMMER GLITTER – Another leader in the field who was nabbed late on the line in non-winners company. This does look a little bit tougher, but I don't see them changing the game plan.

FORESTO – With a few speedsters in the race stretching this field out, Foresto is a horse who could flash home late if they do get tired. He usually appreciates more ground, but the map is favourable to him this weekend. Each way hope.

SUPER TALENT – Another horse who gets back but should rattle home if they go to fast early in this event, respect.

RACE 7

CON SPERANZA – Looking to bounce back to form after an out of character performance last start. He has strong four-year-old form from last year including an eye catcher in the Group 1 Derby. Placed twice at his two appearances over this course and distance.

JANUARY – Went down by the smallest margin after Ace Sovereign got away with murder up front in the early stages. He hasn't missed a placing in all six career starts and looks to be a promising horse as he continues.

PACIFIC CHARM – Just the two starts in his short career at this course and distance. He won his maiden on the long course back in October last year and placed in this grade last start after finding trouble early. Can go better here.

STAR VICTORY – Lightly raced four-year-old who was honest behind King Zoustar at his most recent run. Will find it tough against more experienced opposition but can finish in the minors.

RACE 8

LIM'S ZOOM – Rarely spends more than one start when he comes back to class 5. Back to the grade here again, clearly the horse to beat.

ST ALWYN – Runner up his last two starts. Does like to give them a start in most races, but with a genuine enough tempo in the race he should be flying home late in the race.

GRIFFIN – Last start winner who finally put it all together. Hopefully the victory sees this horse return full of confidence, top three chance.

DIAMOND RING – Worked well this week leading up to career start number 30. Third up for the year with two nice runs so far to date. Could peak this weekend.

RACE 9

DREAM ALLIANCE – One of the runs of the day when finishing second first up. Came from well back to go down to up-and-coming speedster Super Salute. Will strip fitter from that run and looks well placed to score here.

IRONCHAMP – Three of his five wins have come at this course and distance. Natural front running style galloper who can get cheap early sectionals if left alone. Not much early speed in this so he just may get it his way up front.

STENMARK – Rises up in trip after some disappointing runs in recent months. He is struggling to jump away cleanly but when he does, he can pick up a field rather quickly. It all comes down to if he jumps on terms. Top four chance for exotics if he can.

WAR PRIDE – Strong win two starts back and wasn't too far away rising to this grade at his most recent outing. He is one for one over the course and distance so don't write him off for a chance at the minors.

RACE 10

STREET OF DREAMS – Shooting for six in a row this weekend. Continues to excel as he rises in grade and caught the eye nearly breaking a track record on a yielding surface last start. He is the one they must beat.

MR BLACK BACK – Stopped the clock at 58.62 last week when they put the blinkers on. He is a natural front running style horse and if that performance at the trials is anything to go by he will give these a test up front.

SACRED CROIX – Bounced back last start behind Street Of Dreams to record another placing in this high level of racing. Brings strong form from the last six months and has shown he is up to these. Just needs to find a couple of lengths for that win.

ROCKET STAR – Will appreciate the rise to 1600m this week. He is a get back and charge style runner who can run very quick sectionals when the race is run to suit. Yet to win at the distance but has very strong place percentage.

RACE 11

BIONICS – Finding a new lease on life at this stage of his career. Stable have him flying and bringing good form lines into this. Should camp off the speed and be there at the business end.

WATER ROCKET – Finding it hard to get a winning cheque in recent runs but has been there in the finish. Has had the advantage of good draws and his old career best could see him take this out.

WAR FRONTIER – Has been very consistent in this grade since his win three starts back. Likes to settle back in the field but if there is hot early speed he has the turn of foot to roll over the top.

TEARDROPS – Has been costly to punters in recent runs but she does have the ability. If she jumps and gets a good position, she can be there for the business end.
