According to some owners in the local industry, a name change can work wonders and change fortunes for their horses and connections of Pacific Empire will be hoping that theory comes to fruition in the 1100m Class 4 race this Sunday.

The horse formerly known as Alpha Warrior has displayed good form since winning at his Malaysian debut on May 28. The five year old led and was pressured from the outset when finishing 5th over 1200m last start.

Pacific Empire has won twice in his thirteen start career with both victories over Sunday's journey and he should once again utilize his early pace in his quest for a return visit to the winners enclosure.
