Promising five-year-old Pacific Empire will get his chance to pick up his second local win in the Class 4 Division B event over 1100m at Selangor on Sunday.
The KC Tiang-trained gelding has shown ability in four local starts since arriving from Singapore and was last seen checking in 2.5 lengths into second behind Mr Hanks .
The race shape looks vital to his winning chances as, if quality mare Simlong Beach is afforded a soft lead, she could take catching. Still, Pacific Empire should be within striking distance and can have the last say.
