Preview and form for the meeting at Kenilworth on Wednesday. Selections by Warren Lenferna.

Race 1

Preview: CASUAL DIAMOND was not far off on debut and can improve to go very close. NANNA ANNA made a good debut but followed that up with a below par effort – she can be forgiven for that run and more than likely has a lot more to offer. BELIEVETHISBEAUTY is well bred and could be worth including. (Warren Lenferna 2-9-1)

Race 2

Preview: APOLLO STAR has finished fourth in both his starts to date and both at very long odds – I doubt the odds will be that generous this time and I feel that he can get much closer this afternoon. ROYAL MARINE could do well first time at the races and CAPTAIN’S CHARM could sharpen up with that debut run under his belt – watch for big improvement. (Warren Lenferna 1-10-3)

Race 3

Preview: GOLDEN WINE showed big improvement from run one to run two and might just take a power of beating here. I LIVED caught the eye on debut and has the scope to come on plenty from that – big runner and should go very close. MEANINGFUL LOOK ran third on debut and with natural improvement should have come on from that – she should, once again, be right there at the finish. (Warren Lenferna 5-6-7)

Race 4

Preview: TWILIGHT TRIP goes 1400m for the first time which should suit him but he is drawn very wide – if he can overcome the draw he should be very competitive and even win. RULE THE WORLD is a bit erratic but ran well enough last time to suggest he could place again. MARK’S GLORY has been beaten at fairly short odds in his last two but in saying that was far from disgraced – his winning turn seems to be near. (Warren Lenferna 10-7-1)

Race 5

Preview: REDEEMER improved over the mile and now goes 2000m – he should be a tough nut to crack here and is the firm first choice. FLYING GITANO is coming to form and has to be respected for the minor positions. MANGROVE despite his wide draw has some form and must be included in the quartet. (Warren Lenferna 10-2-1)

Race 6

Preview: SHANGRI LA has won her last two in fine style and I can see no reason why she cannot reel off the hat trick and have therefore made her the first choice – the trainer and jockey combination are in mustard form. SEATTLE GOLD has consistent form and gets the best draw – she always runs well and should give plenty of cheek all the way to the wire. PRANCING put her penultimate start behind her last time when running second and based on that has to be given a chance. (Warren Lenferna 1-2-6)

Race 7

Preview: It will be hard for MIDNIGHT VISION to make it four in a row but based on the way he dug down deep and won last time he clearly has ability. His draw is favourable and he seems to still be off a competitive rating. I am taking a chance and selecting him to win again and make it four in a row. MAMBO STAR had dismal form before winning his maiden but then won and followed that up with a good run – this is encouraging and his chances look bright again. It would be silly to not give GIMME ONE NIGHT an each way chance. (Warren Lenferna 2-7-4)

Race 8

Preview: CANDALEEYAH went close last time and now looks ready to score – the stable is in good form and their horses can never be ignored – first choice. STATE BALLET is showing signs of winning again and it should not be long now before she records another win. SHIZAM is knocking hard at the door and is another that should be right there at the finish. (Warren Lenferna 2-7-8)

Race 9

Preview: HEAD HONCHO won well on debut and the form of that race has been franked. His second run was in a feature behind a decent sort – he should enjoy the extra distance and could be hard to peg back here. VOLATILE ENERGY is drawn the worst but is way better than his last run – he can bounce right back to best. JABU won a good race last time and if he were to follow up it would be no shock at all – the horse he beat last time is ultra consistent. (Warren Lenferna 3-2-1)
