Race preview for the meeting at Greyville-All Weather on Wednesday.

Race 1

Preview: VARGRAVES raced green in a smart enough debut. She now gets blinkers and from a good draw should contest the finish. SEQUINED was not far back in a promising debut at Kenilworth. She has been rested since but can feature here. BRIDAL VEIL is another that made a promising debut and should improve AL’S BELLS is a nicely bred first timer and one to watch in the betting. (Andrew Harrison: 12-9-4-1).

Race 2

Preview: Q BEHIND ME has improved in blinkers and the step up in trip could suit from a good draw. DYNASTY’S BOY is a well-bred first timer and one to watch in the betting. STORM RACER made a promising debut and from pole position can feature. LUPO and KINGS EMPIRE both have tricky draws to overcome. Lupo was much improved last run and the extra should suit. (Andrew Harrison: 5-8-11-2).

Race 3

Preview: Tricky race with a modest field of maidens. KHETIWE has a difficult draw but is much better than her last start. She makes her poly debut but at best should feature prominently. RHYME OR REASON is back to a more suitable trip and from a fair draw rates a strong chance. MERMAID SIREN can do better over this extended trip and has not been far back of late. TIP TOE AND GO has been rested but found some solid market support at her last two. She is one to watch. (Andrew Harrison: 2-1-4-3).

Race 4

Preview: OSPREY won well over course and distance at second time of asking. She faces stronger here but appears to have some scope. BON BON has come good on the poly and won well last time out. She has a difficult draw but has a chance again. ACCIDENTAL TOURIST is better than her last effort and has gone well on the poly. She rates a good chance on her best showing. DIAMANTE is much improved in blinkers. She makes her poly debut but jumps from an inside gate. (8-2-3-1).

Race 5

Preview: Weak field and a number in with chances. WINTER AURALIUS ran below par last time out behind his stable companion but was finishing strongly prior to that. ROY’S ROLLS ROYCE has been ultra consistent and lightly treated by the handicapper. He looks capable of going in again in this company. FANTASY ART has been knocking at the door and improved last run back in blinkers. TIDE IS TURNING has shown up nicely at recent outings and is another in with a winning chance. (Andrew Harrison: 5-2-4-12).

Race 6

Preview: Wide open. FIGARO has done well in two starts on the poly. He was only a maiden winner last run but looks to have some scope. FELLOW TRAVELLER was a close-up second last start and has a big chance in this company. TRENDY GUY is overdue another win. He has a light weight and looks to have a bright chance in this field. WINTER DARLING steps up in trip. She could enjoy the trip. (Andrew Harrison: 4-1-10-6)

Race 7

Preview: TOP FORM goes very well this course and distance. Fair weight but can go in again. PROFESSOR BRIAN comes off some smart Cape form. He takes a jump in class here but has a light weight and can keep up his winning ways. LORD BALMORAL is way better than his local debut in the soft. He has drawn well here and looks certain to improve. BOLDLY RESPECTABLE may just have needed his last start. He shows some promise. (Andrew Harrison: 1-10-2-9).

Race 8

Preview: ROCK VALLEY was deemed good enough to take to the Cape for the summer although he did not shape. He caught the eye first run back and looks set to improve. SCARRABEAST did not shape in a feature on soft turf. His poly form before that was useful. CAPTAIN CHAOS was not far back in a set weights race last start and appears to have found some form back in blinkers. LLOYD’S LEGACY returns from a lengthy break. He may just need this but is one to watch. (Andrew Harrison: 5-10-1-4).

Race 9

Preview: NIGHT CIRCUS is holding form well although he did finish behind WARFARER last time they met. The latter has not been far back on the turf since and the switch to poly could bring out the best in him. There should not be much between the two. SUN ON AFRICA was close-up in useful company last start and is knocking at the door for another win. FASHION TALK has been in good form over course and distance. She has a light weight and can feature. RACING SOCKS loves the poly and with his light weight is another in with a chance. (Andrew Harrison: 3-2-1-8).

Race 10

Preview: Difficult race. KEEP ON CHOOGLIN steps up in trip for the first time. He showed some improvement in blinkers last run and could be looking for this trip. STRATEGIC’S PRIDE started favourite last time out but may just have needed the outing. He can do better here. PRINCIPATE has been consistent of late and now tries blinkers. He could be the surprise package here. ENLIGHTENMENT takes on males but is never too far back and can run into the money. (Andrew Harrison: 2-4-12-5)
