Race Summary: What A Winter gelding SOHO STAR travelled well and finished a fair second over the course and distance on debut. He can make the required improvement. STRATEGIC POINT had his saddle slip on debut but wasn't too far back and needs to be respected. KOMANDANTE may not have been ready on debut and may show more. FAMOUS WARRIOR came in for support on his debut but disappointed so is another that can improve. CARE FORGOT made her debut on the Highveld and needs to be watched. First-timers in the hunt.

Race 2
Race Summary: More newcomers to watch out for and all have speed in their pedigrees. However Soqrat-colt MY BOY LOLLIPOP is out of an Australian bred mare and could be the one that attracts betting support. Erupt-colt ISIVIVANE made his debut in the Cape and it wasn't a bad one. He could come on in leaps and bounds. ACT OF GENIUS hasn't done badly and has been gelding. He could show his potential. MISTER NIBBLES ran a much improved race second time out but could find it tough to beat THE SPECIALIST who finished ahead of him on debut.

Race 3
Race Summary: If Soho Star does well in Race 1 then HAVANA MOON may be hard to catch here. He showed good pace in his second start and having drawn well again should have every chance. THE MIKADO ranged up to well-supported Kalahari Roller only to run out of time. He can only improve on that fair debut especially over the longer distance. DAPPER tired late after trading places a few times in running with HAVANA MOON in his debut. It could get close between the pair. SAMUEL LONGSWORD runs like he needs further but has not done badly. First-timers in it, so follow the betting closely.

Race 4
Race Summary: STAR OF THE FUTURE made a promising debut at Hollywoodbets Greyville but that was at the start of the season. If not in need of the run he could open his account. TERIYAKI dropped a few points in rating but didn't disgrace himself in his last race. He has drawn well and should have every chance. AVRO PRINCE could be the dark horse. He made dramatic improvement on his debut run and could show more still. PLETTENBERG has had breathing issues. He hasn't done badly to date and a drop in distance could be better for him. SHINY BOB is another that has some potential.

Race 5
Race Summary: TOMYRIS was costly in her last start. She has been running on late in her races and could be crying out for this longer 1 600 trip. But she has to overcome the widest gate again. DYNASTY'S LAST may be the last progeny of legendary stallion Dynasty. She looked dangerous in her second start and given a confident ride from hot rider Richard Fourie could show what she is made off. SWEETER THAN HONEY would be deserving but will need some luck to be able to get it right. GORGEOUS GIRL and NTOMBENHLE have shown some ability and need to be included in exotics.

Race 6
Race Summary: Three-year-old IVY LEAGUE has run with the best and has not disgraced herself. She could be hard to beat if ready after a rest. AFRICAN BEAT may not have run in features of late but she won a nice handicap last time and the form is working out well. ICE SUNSATION has been knocking at the door and her rider's 1,5kg claim may finally swing things in her favour. She also has the best of the draws to boot. GRANDI ORECCHIE has shown she can dominate her rivals but has been rested and may just need it. LADY HEIST won well but has more to beat. MOUNTAINSOFTHEMOON has scope.

Race 7
Race Summary: ELEGANT ACT has yet to run a bad race and if enjoying the longer distance could run well in her first post maiden. PINSTRIPE had it all to do from a wide gate last time. She didn't run a bad race and is dropping in the handicap. THEAPPLEOFMYEYE was 09-lengths behind her the time they met and it could get close. The latter has the best of the draws and Richard Fourie in the irons. MYSTERIOUS GIRL ran below par but did finish short in her last race. She enjoys this track and trip and could bounce back to form. WHATSUPBUTTACUP could be improving again and rates the value proposition.

Race 8
Race Summary: GET IN THE Q ran out an easy winner the last time she raced over this course and distance. She would have sharpened up over 1000m in her first run after rest. SWEET SYMPHONY hasn't had the best of preps going into her last two races. She could make good improvement this time. CONVOCATION carries a lot more weight after winning with a postage stamp last time. But she has the leading rider up and must not be taken lightly. LOVE BOMB must notch up her next win soon. She is knocking hard. BERENGARIA and PELARGONIUM both can fight it out at best.
