Race Summary: A maiden handicap to start. GLOBAL MOVEMENT made good improvement on his local debut at this venue and could go on to open his account. IBIZA NIGHT and TORIX NIGHT ran on well just behind and are weighted to pose more of a threat. The former has the better gate but the latter could be have more scope to improve. IRON MONGER ran a decent race last time and if not inconvenienced by the drop in trip could go well from draw No 1. FIRE FORCE and GIJIMA MFANA seem capable of better and may get closer in a handicap.

Race Summary: TRUE LOVE'S KISS has drawn wide on handicap debut. But she meets a weak field and may be looking for the longer distance. IDEAL GIFT ran a fair race at this venue in her penultimate when much went wrong. A wide draw didn't help her cause on the Polytrack last time and she also looks well placed. DOCTOR'S ORDERS has been disappointing of late. She has matured and can improve on her previous form at this venue, especially with blinkers fitted. ROY'S ROCKER enjoyed this track and trip amid runs on the poly where she didn't run badly. Many can pop up to make the exotics pay.

Race 3
Race Summary: TRIPLE TIME is a Western Cape gelding with a merit rating of 112 and finds himself best weighted on local debut. He may be prepping for races over further but could still be too strong for his field. However, young improving three-year-old stablemates SHOOT THE RAPIDS and MADISON VALLEY come in with light weights and could be dangerous. The former impressed on the poly last time but was also an easy winner on turf. MADISON VALLEY has plenty of scope and his last run on the poly must be ignored.

Race 4
Race Summary: The stable of Barend Botes could be back in form. KIND JUDY made progress on the poly on her return to racing and should relish being back over a suitable track and trip. Stablemate BALLROOM BLISS has also shown the stamina needed to win a race like this and she too wasn't far off in her last start. ESCAPOLOGIST enjoys this track and it could be time for her to try further. JOLLIFICATION impressed in her penultimate run and has consistent form overall. She should be in the mix again. GIVERS GRACE appears better than her recent form and has drawn well.

Race 5
Race Summary: WICCAN WARRIOR and BRISTOL HERCULES are back from the Cape where they both didn't do too badly. Both have won over the course and distance and need to be taken seriously. Watch out for RELEASE ME who has won over the course and distance and has been steadily dropping in ratings. From draw one he could be a threat. SWEEPER KEEPER was too far back on the poly last time. He has scope for improvement. More with money claims in a competitive event.

Race 6
Race Summary: A wide-open lower-division handicap and it could pay to go wide in the exotics. LUCKY DOLLAR can go one better after being denied in a close finish last time. He has won at this venue. MR MOLONY has run second in two of his last three starts on turf and poly. He just needs to get the timing right. QUICK STAR is a bit better than his recent form. A change of tactics could see him in the winners' enclosure perhaps. Watch out for ONE IRISH ROVER who had valid excuses last time. He is carded to race before this and that run needs to be checked. PORFIRIO is capable of taking a prize as well.

Race 7
Race Summary: FLYING THE STAR showed good resolve to win her last start. She was deserving after running a string of good races without winning. But her merit rating has gone up and she will need to find a bit more to follow up. PALM BREEZE takes a drop in class and distance and could enjoy the change., but she has drawn toward the outside of the track. RUGGER LOVER ran an encouraging race on the poly and could confirm back on turf. She is well bred and may be coming to hand. SKY CAFE and HEREINAFTER are taking their time to claim their next wins but this could be their day.

Race 8
Race Summary: PURPLE POWAHOUSE has been given the nod again and hopefully he can get his head in front this time. It looks the right race. NORTHERN WARRIOR finally won when dead heating with sudden improver Voldemort in a thriller last time. Now he has won he can do so again as he is dropping in class. BUSTER KEATON has the potential to win races but needs things to go his way. HAPPY WANDERER gets stronger when there is a bit of rain about. He enjoys the course and distance. MAC HARDY and SILENT TRIGGER are capable but need to find best form.
