Race 1
Race Summary: A weak race. PHALA MILLIONS showed vast improvement when third last time and if repeating that run could be the one to beat. PEARL HARBOR has been unreliable but can contest the finish. UNDER THE RAINBOW and BEACH DAY make their debuts and would not be surprise winners. TOGETHER AGAIN tends to lack a strong finish but can go close to winning. DELPHI DANCER showed improvement in her second start and could do even better this time around. EVE'S APPLE was backed to win on debut but flopped and could be smarter this time.

Race 2
Race Summary: Some nicely bred debutants take on some form runners. WILD AT WAR showed good improvement when third last time out and could do even better this time. GORGEOUS KLEIN ran well in both starts at Fairview so it will be interesting to see how he goes on the Highveld. BELIEVE IN FATE makes his debut with Piere Strydom aboard and that is worth noting as Strydom is not keen on riding first-timers. CHOCOLATE SOLDIER, LIGHTINTHESTORM and ONE MORE all come from trainers who are capable of winning races first time out and deserve the utmost respect.

Race 3
Race Summary: TAKE YOUR PLACE nearly won on debut at huge odds and can go one better if reproducing that effort. FIERY PEGASUS and HANIFAH look likely to be threats making their debuts. TIPPERARY was not disgraced when fourth on debut and can do even better this time around. ULTIMISSIMO has good form before flopping last time and can bounce back to score. WILLOWILD showed improvement when third last time and should be right there at the finish once again.

Race 4
Race Summary: CEUTA was not disgraced when third on debut and with improvement likely could score. SILKY JET proved just in need of her comeback run but is sure to strip fitter this time and can fight out the finish. CITY LIGHTS is battling to get out of the maiden ranks but is holding form and can contest the finish. WHISTLEDOWN showed vast improvement when fifth in her last race and could have more to offer. HALLOWED SECRET has not shown much so far but is capable of improvement this distance.

Race 5
Race Summary: IN A BLUE MOON clearly likes this course and showed improvement when runner-up last time out. He can go one better this time. DUAL PROPHECY showed improvement when runner-up on debut but has been modest since then. He could bounce back to be a threat. OFFICER IN COMMAND has lost his way of late but is not out of it on his best form. MASTER ARIANO flopped last time out but was in fair form before that and deserves some respect. ROCK OF BISMANTOVA lacks a strong finish but could earn some money.

Race 6
Race Summary: A very weak race. CARNELO does seem a lot better than his disappointing last run and could bounce back to score. CAN'T CATCH ME is battling for his second win but is holding form and not out of it. VIVA DE JANEIRO put in an improved performance last time out and could be winning this time around if reproducing that level of form. ZOOMBOMBER put in a poor effort last time out but does have a place chance on best form. AZUCAR did not show her best last time out but did win her penultimate start. GREEN SCEPTRE is better than the last run and has a place chance.

Race 7
Race Summary: A competitive handicap. TYRCONNELL has been at his very best over a bit shorter so far but is quite capable of winning in this line-up. MARDI GRAS has not won for some time now but could earn some money. GREENBACKCURRENCY did not show much last time but could be a real threat on handicap debut. KING'S EXPRESS has not been reliable so far but did run well last time and is clearly not out of it. WHORLY WHORLY and CIRCLE OF GRACE have also done enough this year to deserve consideration.

Race 8
Race Summary: A very competitive looking handicap. SWEET BASIL has been a bit of a disappointment of late but the drop in distance will suit and she can score. MIA FIORE returned to form with an easy win last time out but does tackle stronger under a penalty. ALESIA'S LOVE is unreliable but won last time out and deserves some respect for that win. JUST BE NICE is holding her form and can fight out the finish once again. SHARAPOVA disappointed last time but is clearly not out of it. HILLARY STEP won well last time out and could have more to offer.

Race 9
Race Summary: A tough end to a very difficult card. SIBERIAN STEEL was unlucky last time and could break a long losing spell. STORMY SEAS is in good form and coming off a solid win. PRIZED PLATINUM returned to form with a good win last time out and could have more to offer. DANCING DORA is unreliable but is capable of popping up in a place. SAKHALA IS'CATHULO has only been modest in two starts since winning but is capable of improvement. IN THE ETHER usually gives of her best and has a place chance.
