Big Country took his 100 per cent record on the all-weather to three when running out a clear-cut winner of the sunbets.co.uk Lincoln Trial Handicap at Wolverhampton.
The Mick Appleby-trained five-year-old, who holds an entry in the Lincoln proper at Doncaster in two weeks' time, hit the front a furlong out after tracking the pacesetting Swift Emperor for most of the mile contest.
Big Country (8-1) soon put the race to bed and was just had to be kept up to his work close home by Luke Morris to hold the closing Pactolus by three-quarters of a length.
Third Time Lucky was the same distance away in third spot.
The winner was cut to 12-1 from 20-1 for the Lincoln with Paddy Power.
