William Haggas and Tom Marquand teamed up to great effect at Royal Ascot last week when Desert Hero landed the King and Queen's Desert Hero at Royal Ascot and they'll be hoping ante-post favourite Post Impressionist can provide the duo with further big-race success.

The lightly-raced four-year-old hasn't been seen since winning a competitive 1m6f handicap at York in October but certainly strikes as the type to relish this test on his seasonal reappearance.

Three-time champion jockey Oisin Murphy has been booked to ride Golden Rules, who created quite the impression when scoring on his debut for Deborah Faulkner over two miles at Kempton in March.

Michaell Bell enjoyed Royal Ascot success last week and the Newmarket-based handler saddles progressive four-year-old Adjuvant, who will be partnered by promising young apprentice 'Billy The Kid' Loughnane and seeks to defy a 5lb rise in the weights following his comfortable victory on the Rowley Mile a few months ago.

Last year's Northumberland Vase winner Zoffee is one of two declared for Hugo Palmer with top-weight Rajinsky to be ridden by in-form apprentice Connor Planas. Hugo Palmer also won this race in 2020 with Caravan Of Hope.

Alan King will always be remembered for Trueshan's remarkable weight-carrying performance in this contest last season. This year, he solely relies on the experienced ten-year-old Rainbow Dreamer.

Ian Williams' Law Of The Sea will sport first-time cheekpieces while the unexposed Omniscient, who steps up beyond 1m4f for the first time, will be bidding to give Sir Mark Prescott a first success in the historic event.

9 declared for Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes

Elsewhere this weekend, the Curragh stages Group 1 action on Saturday with the Pretty Polly Stakes taking centre stage.

Aidan O'Brien will be hoping for further Group 1 success this season as Never Ending Story bids to go one spot better than her last two outings having chased home the impressive Blue Rose Cen in the French 1,000 Guineas and Prix de Diane.

However, it could be last year's Prix Saint-Alary winner Above The Curve that bares the flag for Coolmore with Ryan Moore booked to ride the impressive Group 2 Prix Corrida scorer as she bids for a second top-level victory.

George Boughey will be hoping his progressive filly Via Sistina can take the step up to Group 1 company in her stride following an emphatic six-length romp in the Dahlia Stakes on Newmarket's Rowley Mile while Hughie Morrison's Stay Alert rounds out the English duo.
