A leading fancy for the Grand National in April, Monbeg Genius is trained by Jonjo O'Neill and has not been seen on the racetrack since a third in the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury in December.

Due to a National Crime Agency investigation into Medpro, approximately seventy-five million pounds worth of assets linked to Michelle Mone and husband Doug Barrowman have been frozen or restrained. There were some concerns that the racehorses owned by the couple would be included in the investigation but the BHA confirmed on Friday that this was not the case.

In a statement, the BHA said: "Having been made aware of a restraint order on a number of assets belonging to Michelle Mone and Doug Barrowman, the BHA liaised with relevant parties in order to understand the potential implications this had for their involvement in racing.

"Following these discussions, the BHA can confirm that horses in the ownership of Barrowman Racing Ltd are not affected by the restraint order and are therefore permitted to continue to race."
