He's also been one of racing's great characters with many great stories abounding but it is as a rider that he really stands out.  As Scott Burton said  his style was so relaxed that "modern racing wouldn't produce one" like him.

During his career he was Champion Jockey of France four times, won the Arc four times, the Japan Cup twice and the Dubai Sheema once and various Breeders' Cup races and in a total of more than 3,700 winners there are 165 Group Ones.

A contemporary and friend of Frankie Dettori he has raced him into retirement but as Peslier himself has said his turn has arrived.

While no longer riding he hopes to stay connected to the racing world and we hope he does just that.
