Willie Mullins broke his record for the most G1 wins in a season on Thursday.
That was at Punchestown where his Il Etait Temps conquered his stablemate Gaelic Warrior in the Novice Chase winning by 2 ¼ lengths. In addition to his English Champion Trainer win last weekend, he has won his 18th Irish Champion Trainer title.
An Elliott-Kennedy win came with Teahupoo in the Champion Stayers Hurdle to win by 6n ½ lengths from Asterion Forlonge 13/2 the Mullins-Townend runner with Home by the Lede third.
Friday Mullins has a couple of good chances in the two features – State Man 2/7 in the Boodles Champion Hurdle and Ballyburn 2/9 in the Novice Hurdle.
