In a cracking finish, she defeats the favourite I Wish I Win right on the line!
What a mare she is, and now takes her earnings closer to $10 million pic.twitter.com/Rt25A4uCK5
Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher
On the mare: "She's phenomenal. I've really got to thank Tony Gollan and Craig Kavanagh. She was a little bit off when she came up here and their attention to detail is spot on.
"I've got to thank my team and James Harding. She actually hasn't been in a stable for any more than three days over the past two weeks. She was in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and now Brisbane.
"Unbelievable mare."
On the race: "She loves these conditions. I thought the conditions, the track, everything would really suit. Then when we jumped from the barriers I thought we were no chance.
"Craig knows her really well. He took his medicine. That was unbelievable."
On the mare's toughness: "She ran second in the TJ Smith and on Monday she jumped on a plane and went to Perth. She came back and now she's in Queensland - she's absolutely unbelievable.
"I'd just like to thank everybody who has had anything to do with her. She takes a little bit of managing. Every one in four she muffs the start."
Winning Jockey: Craig Williams
"She has the heart and the tenacity and the resilience like the Ukranian people with what they are dealing with every day. You can see, Ciaron has won all the good races around Australia, but he has got a huge thrill that goes with her.
"There is a lot of effort that goes into her, and with Tony Gollan up here. It is amazing that trainers are in the business against each other but how supportive they are of one another.
"That is great for the strength of our industry."
On the run: The plan was obviously to use our barrier draw and where we wanted to be. She had a different idea and it was lucky that I had the right horse to manouever but she does relish getting her toe in.
"Credit to Racing Queensland for putting on such great money. Last year we saw Giga Kick, today we see arguably two of our best sprinters in Australia."
Beaten Jockeys: - FULL LIST TO COME
James McDonald (I Wish I Win): "
Blake Shinn (Private Eye): "Good run, ran well. Probably better suited on a little bit firmer deck but he ran well."
Tyler Schiller (Mazu): "
Danny Beasley (Body Bob): "
Jamie Kah (Chain Of Lightning): "
Nash Rawiller (Espiona): "She was great. Had a plan to have her in earshot of them today when they got there before the corner and she came into it beautifully. If anything, probably set the race up for the winner as it turned out. Honest as always, my girl>"
Adam Hyeronimus (Wee Nessy): "
Tim Clark (Stefi Magnetica): "
