Extreme heat has played havoc with recent scheduling but we're set to enjoy a nine race card back at the states premier track.

The meeting will be headlined by the running of the $125k Listed Detonator Stakes and a top temperature of 32 degrees will make for perfect conditions for spectators.

The rail will be out 6m for the entire circuit and the track is currently rated a good 4.

Our Ladbrokes preview can be found below.

RACE 1 - 2:28PM: MACMAHON HANDICAP 1MW (2200 METRES)

Filthy Habits has been racing well and last start he fought on gamely to hold on for second after taking up the lead.

From an awkward draw he rolled forward to take up the running and was just collared late.

The four year old steps out to 2200m which is a query but the way he's been working through the line at his prior runs, certainly suggest he'd be suited over that bit further.

From barrier two he's set to get the run of the race under Lucy Fiore.

RACE 2 - 3:03PM: NATIONAL PUMP AND ENERGY PLATE 2YO SW (1000 METRES)

Siren Assault resumes.

The Rich Enuff filly just had the one run back in October where she stuck on solidly to finish second.

Urged forward from the outside gate she set a slick tempo out in front and just felt the pinch over the final 100m.

She comes here off two very nice trial performances, the most recent she sat back off the leader and worked through the line nicely under little pressure.

Chris Parnham sticks with her and she should enjoy an easy time of things from gate three.

BET NOW: Ascot Race 2

RACE 3 - 3:39PM: TABtouch - WESTSPEED PLATINUM HANDICAP NMW (1000 METRES)

Bisector has been racing well without winning but looks perfectly placed to turn that around.

The daughter of Demerit just peaked late after taking up the running two starts back and last time she finished off strongly after taking a sit.

Chris Parnham goes onboard for Simon Miller and from barrier four she'll be afforded every chance.

RACE 4 - 4:19PM: VALE BRIAN RICHARDS HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Cheeky Charlotte remains unbeaten after two raceday appearances.

The daughter of Winning Rupert did it comfortably on debut, taking up the lead and she never looked like getting beat in the 1000m event.

Last time she had to work early to cross and then commenced to race keen out in front but she found enough over the final stages to score by just under a length.

With the advantage of the inside gate she'll be able to bounce out and put herself there and Jade McNaught continues her association with the filly, as the pair look to make it three on the trot.

RACE 5 - 5:00PM: THE GREYCROFT TROPHY RTG72+ (1200 METRES)

Live To Tell returns to the races.

A highly talented filly, she resumed last time to take out the Listed Supremacy Stakes, before going on to take out the Group Three Gimcrack Stakes.

At her following outing, she found herself a long way back in the Group Two Karrakatta Plate but powered home into second, putting up a big gap back to third.

Only lightly raced with the four starts, she's already proven herself a quality galloper and she looks to have come back in top order, winning two recent trials in easy fashion.

Pat Carberry has partnered her in all of her raceday and trial appearances and he's sure to afford her every chance.

RACE 6 - 5:42PM: UNITE RESOURCING HANDICAP RTG66+ (1000 METRES)

Bayezid is racing in terrific form and comes here off a narrow last start defeat.

The former Godolphin galloper won well after leading all the way two starts back but just had to work in the early stages last time.

He then got his head up as he settled outside the leader and just wanted to race a bit keen whilst the eventual winner enjoyed a cosy run in behind them and had the last crack.

The son of I Am Invincable does race well here at Ascot and I think he can turn the tables on Ruler Rocket.

Madi Derrick retains the ride and will take 1.5kgs off.

RACE 7 - 6:17PM: AMELIA PARK HANDICAP RTG66+ (1600 METRES)

Bonjoy is racing is terrific form and comes here looking to make it three on the trot.

The ultra consistent mare was strong to the line when resuming here over 1200m and relished the rise in trip at her following start, where she charged through the pack to score comfortably.

She was eased down over the final part last time when stepping out to 1675m and she looks well placed to continue on her winning way.

Clint Johntson-Porter knows her well and he will again do the steering for Jason Miller.

RACE 8 - 6:55PM: RELIABLE ASSET MAINTENANCE - DETONATOR STAKES LISTED SW (1800 METRES)

Toni's Spirit returns off a seven week let up.

The Jordan Rolfe trained mare was racing well last campaign and produced a very tidy effort in the Group Two Perth Cup.

Starting at a big quote she settled back worse than midfield and whilst she never looked a winning chance, she was strong to the line.

Only lightly raced, the five year old daughter of Vert De Greece is working through her grades nicely and continues to improve.

She looked good in a recent trial over 1450m where she was taken back and there was a lot to like about the way she found the line.

Michael Poy has enjoyed good success aboard the mare and he takes the mount here at 53kgs.

BET NOW: Ascot Race 8

RACE 9 - 7:30PM: BLACK DIAMOND DRILLING SERVICES AUSTRALIA HANDICAP 1MW (1400 METRES)

Cerridwyn is proving herself to be a very handy mare.

The daughter of American Pharoah kicked off her campaign with a determined win at Bunbury before a couple of unlucky outings.

Given a copybook ride last start she proved too good over the 1400m course and the good draw here should see her enjoy a similar run in transit.

Luke Campbell goes back aboard and will take 2kgs off.

1 unit – CERRIDWYN

BET NOW: Ascot Race 9
