Thespian Waters will take a break and is likely to head interstate for his next campaign after an impressive win in the $50,00 Tasmanian Bloodstock Autumn Classic (1400m) in Hobart on Sunday.

Thespian Waters made it four wins in a row and put up one of his best performances, coming from near last after drawing the outside barrier.

"That was a super effort. He's amazing. He has matured throughout this preparation. Every time I get on him race day; he feels like a new horse.

"He's growing up all the time, and he's handled being in work sensationally. He gets trained up in Oatlands, so he's out my bedroom window, and I don't let him get out of sight, that's for sure," jockey/trainer Sigrid Carr said.

Thespian Waters ($1.60) has now raced 12 times for five wins and five placings. The win took his stake earnings to more than $170,000. Second home was Es And Es ($34) courtesy of a rails run with Blonde Star ($7.50) running home to finish third.

Row Row powers to first victory

First-up from a spell and without a trial, Row Row Power ($4.20) was still forward enough to land the 1100m maiden for trainer Imogen Miller after a copybook ride from Bulent Muhcu.

From barrier two, Muhcu had the lightly raced 3YO just off the speed throughout. They hit the front once they straightened for home and then withstood a late charge from April's Dance ($8) to win by a short head with Mister Manihi ($3.70) third.

"He was a little bit disappointing last prep, we have a bit of an opinion of him, but he just didn't come up last time so Imogen decided to turn him out.

"The owner has been a good supporter of the stable, so I'm really pleased to get a win for him," stable rep Brendon Mccoull said.

"It worked out perfectly. We thought Bulent would suit this horse. He does a bit of work and helps us out when we need him. There are a few horses that suit his style of riding, and this was one of them."

It was all decided

After putting the writing on the wall with a fast finishing second last start, We All Decide went one better in the 1400m maiden.

We All Decide settled back off a hot early tempo, but once Anthony Darmanin got the mare to the outside, she gathered in the leaders to win running away.

"It was a really good run last start. This horse just likes to be left alone early and not bustled, they went quick early, and I was happy in the spot I was, but at the 600m, I thought I better get on my bike soon enough because they were getting away from me.  But to this fillies credit, she picked them up quite easily once she let down," Darmanin said.

We All Decide ($2.70) raced clear to win by 1.5 lengths from Open Arms ($5) who has the hoof on the till with Frenetico ($6) battling on to finish third.

A Mother's Day present

Young mum Lauryn Bingley celebrated Mother's Day by scoring a winning double with Travelling Gigolo and Araya Sunshine ($23) taking out the 1100m Class 1.

Well back in the field but travelling strongly approaching the final turn, Bingley navigated a path to hit the front in the last few strides to beat the heavily backed favourite Dysart ($4.60 – $2) with Tough Impact ($12) holding on for third.

"She hasn't had luck in her past few starts; she's run up the bum of a few of them on the way home, but today, she got through and scored a nice win," co-trainer Tanya Hanson said.

"She's a funny little girl, but she can be a bit spicy at times. She's got such a luckless pattern. She gets back in her races, but she tries her heart out.

"At the 600m, I was all over heels, just needing a run, but she's not the type of horse that can go out and get momentum. She's better for a 'sucky' run, and she's got a very sharp 200m," Bingley said.

Since returning to race riding this season, Bingley has ridden 11 winners and 14 placegetters from 57 starts. Her overall record stands at 73 rides, 15 wins (20.55%), and 35 placings.
