Didntcostalot will kick off his latest preparation in this evening’s Canterbury Classic where trainer Marc Conners believes the newly gelded four-year-old appears well suited.

Didntcostalot was sound during the spring however Conners is expecting a more focused four-year-old this preparation.
“He was starting to worry about the girls a bit too much at the end of last preparation,” Conners said.
“As a long term racing proposition we thought it would be better for him to be gelded.”
The son of Danerich resumes in this evening’s Canterbury Classic after being readied for it with an 800m trial at the track last week when second behind Exotic Escape.
“He went great, they ran unbelievable time,” Conners told Sky Sports Radio.
“Peter [Robl] was really happy with him. The horse is starting to relax a bit more now, he looks a bit more of a racehorse.
“He is forward. He only had about 3 ½ weeks off after his last start.
“He had a pretty easy preparation, a bit of a freshen up and he is in good form.”
This evening’s Canterbury Classic (1100m) has opened right up with the scratching of Peter Snowden-trained colt Sessions.
Didntcostalot is currently second favourite for this evening’s feature event with TAB Sportsbet Fixed Odds behind defending Canterbury Classic winner Unanimously.
“It is a nice race and I was always keen for him to run in this race because I thought Canterbury would be a good track for him,” Conners said.
“He has drawn a good barrier so we will se how we go.
“There is going to be plenty of speed up front and we just want to make sure we are in a nice position.”
