Regan Bayliss will have his first ride at Group 1 level with confirmation the young jockey will partner Caulfield Cup runner Renew.
Bayliss will ride Renew in the Group 1 Caulfield Cup after the fourth emergency gained a start after scratchings of Dandino, Gris Caro, Bande and Dear Demi.
While a rank outsider, Renew’s confirmed start in the Caulfield Cup provides Regan Bayliss with his first ride at Group 1 level.
Bayliss, 17, shared the honours with Jye McNeil at the top of the 2013/14 Rising Stars Series during a season where he rode 37 winners.
His 2014/15 season has gotten off to a strong start with 20 winners and a maiden stakes success aboard Quayside in the Tokyo City Cup at Morphettville last month.
Renew sits at the bottom of betting for the Group 1 Caulfield Cup, quoted at $201 with TAB Sportsbet Fixed Odds.
