The Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock-raced import has been officially withdrawn from the Melbourne Cup after connections scratched the stayer from last Saturday’s Caulfield Cup.

Dandino was scratched from last Saturday’s Caulfield Cup after pulling up sore following trackwork last Thursday morning.

It has since been confirmed Dandino will not contest the Melbourne Cup.

The past few days have been forgettable for Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock with Crackerjack King sustaining a suspensory ligament injury on the weekend before his anticipated tilt at the Cox Plate.

They will however be represented in the Group 1 weight-for-age feature by the Marco Botti-trained Guest Of Honour who has drawn barrier 10.

Guest Of Honour is quoted at $41 for the Cox Plate with TAB Sportsbet Fixed Odds.
