A winning double at Kilmore for Steve Arnold on Sunday has been dampened due to incurring a careless riding charge.
Arnold hit the ground running with a success aboard Baron Manfield in the opening event at Kilmore on Saturday and then won Race 6 partnering the Tony Noonan-trained Calibrate.
Between successes however Arnold incurred a careless riding charge for his actions aboard the John O’Shea-trained Rostock.
The colt was rolled as a $1.60 favourite in the event by another Godolphin-raced runner Minnesinger.
Arnold aboard the favourite of the 1462m Maiden Plate was found to have shifted ground at the 1100m when insufficiently clear of rival Artie Me Mate.
The jockey was suspended for seven meetings, two metropolitan and five provincial.
He can return to riding after his suspension expires at midnight, January 15.
