Group racing will return to Randwick on Saturday which will feature the $175,000 Group 2 Missile Stakes (1200m).
The weight for age race has drawn only six nominations which have been extended, with the resuming Messene from the Team Hawkes stable among the entries.
Having not quite measured up last campaign in Group 1 company, the seven-year-old gelding will look to improve on that form leading into a big spring campaign.
Other nominations include the Chris Waller-trained Weary who is also set to resume along with Burbero who returned with a second placing behind Brook Road in the July Sprint last start.
Gai Waterhouse has just the one runner Liberty’s Choice entered with Judicial Rock and See The World rounding out the current nominations.
The Listed Rosebub (1200m) will also be run at Randwick on Saturday with nominations including the resuming Rageese and last start winners Can Be Bossy, Kimberly Star, Let’s Make It Rain and Sebring Sun.
