A Matt Cumani-trained filly, Anthemoessa was runner-up to La Pomme De Pin in the Magic Millions Clockwise Classic (1000m) at Ballarat before again finishing second at Caulfield when ridden by Childs.

"I worked the horse on Saturday morning and gave her a little leg stretch and I think she goes into the race in the right condition and with a good chance," Childs said.

"She's a tough little thing as she showed when she raced three-wide last start and toughed it right out."
