Group 2 winner Washington Heights is set to make his autumn return at Rosehill on Saturday in the G3 Star Kingdom Stakes.

The Gerald Ryan-trained six-year-old showed his class last campaign after returning from a stint in Hong Kong.

Washington Heights won three of his five starts including the G2 Shannon Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill. He was spelled after finishing fifth in the Listed Sydney Stakes at Randwick on October 14.

Ryan gave Washington Heights a barrier trial at Rosehill on March 20 with the gelding finishing a pleasing fourth over 1030m.

The Sydney carnival will give Washington Heights a solid grounding for a Brisbane campaign in May and June.
