Completing a treble of wins since arriving from New Zealand including a Listed win here in similar conditions three weeks back, The Bostonian is building an enviable race record of six wins (three stakes) in just nine starts. He got away to a narrow early lead but jockey Michael Cahill took the one-out trail past the 1000m then third at the 800m. Cahill asked the gelding to creep closer approaching the last corner, cruising into second past the 300m. Cahill gave him a shake and they took over inside the 200m, put a length on them at the 100m and held that advantage fairly easily to the line. A super run from Bold Assassin who was last (rails) at the 600m, eased out but had nowhere to go at the top of the straight, switched hard to the inner, balanced then ran on strongly to grab a good second. Go Dixie had a clear lead at the 500m, co-led at the 250m and fought hard to the line for a solid third. Mishani Bullitt was midfield and widest turning in then kept on gamely for fourth.
