Pike is expected to make an early call between stablemates Galaxy Star and Arcadia Queen after the latter was confirmed as a Kingston Town starter by owner Bob Peters on Sunday.

Pike rode the filly Arcadia Queen to an easy win in the G2 WA Guineas (1600m) at Ascot on Saturday before teaming with Galaxy Star for her dominant win in the G1 Railway Stakes (1600m).

The pair were among four Peters-owned and bred winners ridden by Pike on Saturday’s program.

Peters confirmed on Sunday that Arcadia Queen had pulled up well from her easy three lengths win and would be given her chance against the older horses including her Grant and Alana-trained stablemate Galaxy Star in the Kingston Town Classic (1800m).

Arcadia Queen will carry only 50kg in the Kingston Town Classic, a race Peters has won four times.

They include Perfect Reflection, the only 3YO filly to win the race when she was ridden to victory by Pike in 2015.

Price framers believe the weight-for-age conditions of the Kingston Town will favor Arcadia Queen and have promoted the filly to favouritism over Galaxy Star.

Pike is expected to make his choice between the pair in the next 48 hours with Peters confirming that Parnham would have the second choice.

“William will have to decide soon. If he rides the filly he’ll have to lose weight and we have to make other bookings,” Peters told the West Australian.

Peters also plans to start Perfect Jewel and Star Exhibit in the Kingston Town after they ran fourth and seventh in the Railway Stakes.

His WA Derby winner Action, 11th in the Railway, will join stablemate Mississippi Delta in the Listed GA Towton Cup (2200m) on Saturday week on their way to a Perth Cup start.

Mississippi Delta won Saturday’s Listed Tattersall’s Cup (2100m).

Lady Cosmology, runner-up to Arcadia Queen in the WA Guineas, will not contest the Kingston Town Classic.

She may start in the Sir Ernest Lee-Steere Classic (1400m) on December 8 before a spell.
