On the win: "She's just a tough mare and she really came on after her first start.

"Was I confident today? Not really. Little bit of a guessing game but certainly give credit to Miss Albania and the owner John William for steering it this way.

"A good ride from Liam Riordan as well.""

On her next runs: "Will just have to discuss it with the owner. He may have earmarked a stakes race. It could be a little bit early for her but she flies at the Valley so I suppose it's my job to try and have her ready in a couple of weeks time"

Rose the speed and then extend: "She's a smart filly. The other day she did a really good job. I was sitting at home having a few weeks off but she just had to run into the head breeze and the horses that beat her are pretty smart. She'll improve a bit off today. She had a good blow on the line. EJ never has his horses fully wound-up and hopefully she can get some black type this time in."

Mark Zahra - dislodged from Second Slip on way to barriers

Victorian Jockeys' Association reported Zahra has a possible rib and elbow injury. Will be transported to Royal Melbourne Hospital for Scans.
