Winning Trainer: Nick Ryan
Photo finish: "I wasn't sure we had it. It was a good effort. He was giving the second horse a bit of weight which might have told late." He was able to build momentum and get to the outside which we all know is better up the straight races."
First up: "I said to the owners, he's come back probably the best he's ever come back this prep. He's really seasoned and tough and hopefully he can make that next step because that's probably all he's got to do."
Targets: "He'll go to a target race we've targeted this prep, he'll go to the Good Friday Sprint at Sale. It's a half a million dollar race and he's on track."
Winning Jockey: Rhys McLeod
Satisfying victory: "It looked his race to win. He'd been going well and his trials leading up to this first-up run had been good and I thought he came into this race really well."
Always travelling: "He travelled sweet in behind them, back at the tail. When I gave him a squeeze he quickened really quick and put paid to the them quickly but froze once he got there. His win was really good, but I pushed the button too soon."
Have a sense that Zorro's Dream was coming: "I could feel it coming a long way out. On the post, to be honest, I wasn't sure."
