Trainer Jack Duncan will this weekend be looking to secure a wildcard entry into the $1 million Magic Millions Subzero next month.

Duncan will saddle up Stakes winner Dzsenifer and Toowoomba Cup champion Seat Of Power in the Listed Bernborough Plate at Doomben on Saturday.

A field of nine runners will now take part in the Bernborough Plate after four late nominations were accepted including Listed Brisbane Handicap winner, London Banker.

Seat Of Power was to be ridden by Jim Orman prior to London Banker's acceptance, and will now be ridden by Ben Thompson, while Taylor Marshall retains the ride on Dzsenifer.

Seat Of Power will back up in the Shoot Out over 2000 metres at Doomben on Saturday week in a bid to claim a wildcard entry into the Subzero at the Gold Coast on January 14.

The eight-year-old hasn't raced since finishing second to Sydney raider Fun Fact in the Listed Queensland Cup over 2400 metres at Eagle Farm in October.

"Seat Of Power will probably find this a shade short as he had a month out in the paddock after the Queensland Cup," Duncan said.

"He's freshened up well and had a jump out over 1200 metres last week.

"I'm trying to get him into the Subzero so he'll have to run again next week in the Shoot Out which is a free kick into the Magic Millions race."

While Duncan believes Seat Of Power is a superior stayer, he rates Dzsenifer as his best hope but with some reservations.

Dzsenifer was doing her best work late when she finished a close-up fourth to London Banker in the Brisbane Handicap at Doomben on December 9.

"I favour Dzsenifer at this stage as her last run was very good and she only got beaten by one length," Duncan said.

"She's been feeling the hard tracks a bit lately and she wants rain but it doesn't look like there's much around.

"She's still a good chance so long as the track is not too firm.

"She just hasn't been stretching out like she can."

Dzsenifer is proven at Stakes level after claiming the Listed Silk Stocking at the Gold Coast during the winter and also running second in the Listed Glasshouse Handicap at the Sunshine Coast.

Duncan has no specific plans in mind for Dzsenifer but is hopeful of finding a race for her on Magic Millions day.
